📣 REMINDER! No school Friday, October 4!

Congratulations to Mrs. Bush's first-grade class for winning the golden spatula award for September. The golden spatula is awarded monthly to the class with the best behavior in the cafeteria. Students had special seating and the golden spatula to hang in their classroom for the rest of the month. Way to go!

Help Fort Ann’s backpack program when you shop at Hannaford in October! We will receive $1 for each $2.50 reusable Fight Hunger Bag sold during October 2024 at 3758 Burgoyne Avenue, Hudson Falls, NY. A great bag and a great way to help! ❤️

At today's meet-and-greet event, families and students visited classrooms and connected with teachers and friends! Our sixth graders also took part in some fun team-building games!

Future leaders! Our fourth graders visited the Fort Ann Town Hall to learn about local and state government.

🎢 Mrs. Wood's science class learned about energy by building roller coasters! Using paper products and tape, students built roller coasters that would safely get their marble to the bottom while learning about creating momentum, friction, potential, and kinetic energy!

Summer reading! Every student from pre-k through 5th grade received a packet of 10+ books and colored pencils, and pre-k through 4th also received workbooks!! Thank you to the RTI team, Mrs. Foster (Grades 4/5), Mrs. Theis (Grades 2-3), Mrs. Liebl (Grades K-1), and Mrs. Brady (Grades K-4) for the great summer reads!

Due to the potentially dangerous heat and humid conditions, with the heat index reaching 105 degrees, the building has the potential to be very warm. I have decided to dismiss school early on Thursday and Friday. Dismissal will take place at 11:30 am.
Regents exams will still take place at scheduled times. They will be held in air-conditioned spaces.

Nearly 50 of our fourth and fifth graders showcased their amazing singing talents as part of the 1,200-voice American Young Voices Choir at the MVP Arena in Albany. They sang “from their heart with all of their power!” Great job everyone! 🎤🎶

Our Pre-K students are bus-riding experts now! They learned all about bus safety and can't wait to hop on next year. 🚌 🥰

Our first graders got up close and personal with some amazing animal friends during their trip to the Jungle Experience Zoo!

Congratulations to our Students-of-the-Month! Students are chosen for their overall improvement in behavior and/or academics in the classroom.
